Coating Coating means coating or encasing by the uniform spraying of liquid. When coating, it is essential to avoid larger drops to prevent over-wetting and unwanted agglomeration. In the same way, a drop formation which is too fine must also be avoided to prevent dust formation through spray-dried drops.
Recommendation:
Schlick recommends the use of two-substance nozzles. They make sure that the required drop size of approx. 30 µm is achieved. In principle, it is possible to adapt drop size individually to the application. Schlick two-substance nozzles achieve a uniform drop spectrum in the biggest range of liquid control.
Anti-Bearding technology: Schlick[+]s patented air cap prevents bearding on the nozzle. A high level of operating security is guaranteed - with very uniform liquid distribution when spraying. The nozzles can be removed from the equipment and are available in the relevant versions for each type of equipment. Good and reproducible scale-up opportunities are given for lab and production measures.
Professional Coating Arm (PCA): The spray arm developed by Schlick for 2 - 8 nozzles is equipped with anti-bearding technology (ABC-Technology®). Rapidly refitting the sugar-coating arm by simply changing the film coating nozzles for the relevant flat-jet nozzles creates enormous production advantages
